***To all our loyal clients: Until further notice, with the ever-changing COVID-19 situation and for the safety of your families, our team and our community, we have made some adjustments to our hours and operations.
OUR NEW HOURS: MONDAY - SATURDAY from 8:00 - 4:30pm
SUNDAY we are CLOSED
**We are closed for lunch between 12:30 - 1:30pm each day too.
We ask that all clients who visit the clinic to STAY OUTSIDE and either KNOCK on the door to be helped or CALL US on the phone at 604-590-5665. We are still seeing pets for appointments but they are all done on a drop off basis with a reduced number of patients being seen each day.
For any non urgent matters, you can email us: email@example.com
We are following the recommendations from the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association to reduce the exposure risks to staff/clients with social distancing, additional cleaning practices and mainly performing essential type services. We are focusing on treating pets that have health concerns or are sick (either by appointment or in some cases by phone consultation with a veterinarian). We are currently postponing all vaccination appointments with the exception of Rabies vaccines and puppy/kitten vaccines.
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, WE ARE NOT DOING ANY NAIL TRIM APPOINTMENTS.
For APPOINTMENTS: Please remain outside the clinic and knock or call to let us know you are here. A staff member will come out to get a brief history, phone number to reach you at and bring your pet into the clinic for the veterinarian to examine while you wait outside or in your car. The veterinarian will call you once the exam is finished and discuss the findings. We prefer to take payments over the phone by credit card.
If you are sick (especially coughing) or you have travelled outside of Canada or suspect that you have been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you inform our staff via telephone for further instructions and so that further precautionary measure can be taken.
For FOOD/MEDICATIONS: We will continue to sell food & dispense medications as usual provided that we have them in stock in the clinic. We are currently experiencing longer than normal delivery times for our orders. Our supplier has informed us that there has been a larger volume of orders from veterinary clinics so the wait times for deliveries have been extended.
For PAYMENTS: As we are currently not having clients come into the clinic, we prefer to accept VISA/MASTERCARD/AMEX. Therefore we are NOT accepting INTERAC or VISA DEBIT at this time. We will however also accept CASH but we ask that it is the exact amount as we are not giving change or the remainder can be left as a credit on your account.
Take care and all the best from the Sunshine Hills Veterinary Team.
Our Basic Practice Philosophy
We will always be the advocate for our client's dog or cat. It is our professional, moral and personal responsibility to advise our clients what we recommend for their pet's well being and to educate them on ways to keep their pets healthy. We will never assume the client is aware of all the services their pet needs and/or we can provide, we will, however, always give our best recommendations and support. Our doctors and fully trained staff can provide the most up to date information and medical expertise to allow our clients to choose the best course of treatment for their pet. It is our obligation to treat, cure and/or manage disease ensuring a quality lifestyle for our patients and their owners.
Our Mission Statement
The mission of our hospital is to fulfill the needs of our clients by providing quality veterinary health care services through a responsive, professional staff with an emphasis on individual attention and commitment to our clients, our patients and our community. We will never be the reason any pet does not have the opportunity for the best veterinary care medicine has to offer.
